This book will more than fill in the gaps of any church volunteer training session and will provide the detail for leading a vibrant youth discussion group. Being in a small group was a very valuable experience for me growing up. I had the affirmation of friends and my group leaders, and it provided me a safe space to ask questions about my insecurities and struggles and to normalize them through hearing about other group members' challenges. The investments of my leaders and other peers in the group literally steered my life in a different, more positive direction. It equipped me with both the tools and the confidence to pursue interests and goals that I otherwise wouldn't have believed myself capable.
