She liv es with her devoted husband, Curtiss, and their five adoring cats, who have inspired many poems. While other writers talk about the muse, much of Karen's poetry is inspired by her Christian faith. In addition to writing and reading, she enjoys swimming, kayaking, and bicycling with her husband.
