Résumé :
Far from home, Francine Matte has resolved to make a new beginning for herself and her young son in this rugged Newfoundland outport. To her own surprise, she comes to love the hardened sincerity of her adopted family and is compelled to trust them with not only her own life, but the lives of those she holds most dear. But Francine's secrets cannot elude her forever. Set against the physical and political challenges of a Newfoundland fishing community, Honour Thy Mother tells the story of Francine Matte and the secrets she tries to outrun. She may have been able to escape the past, but it will eventually catch up to those she leaves behind....
