Résumé :
Raised in Kansas, Pebbles at the Beach is a collection of sixty-five poems by the author Steven Thomas Dykes. Poetry, the eldest sister of all arts and parent of most (Congreve). This was my introduction into becoming an artistmy first love. This novel dates back over a decade to when I was in my infancy of writing, and it followed me on a search for meaning and purpose through my travels across the great highways of the United States of America to even crossing the pond to sit in the Pere La-Chaisse cemetery in Paris, France, next to Oscar Wildes gravesite. These one hundred four poems aim to express the life I lived from the age of eighteen to the age of twenty-eight.
Biographie:
Steven Thomas Dykes was born in 1982 to Larry and Dinah Dykes, in the city of Topeka, Kansas. At the tender age of 18, he self-published his first novel, In The Town of Comfortability. In the past decade since he has been focusing on writing poetry for submission to publishers, for which he has received recognition from several companies, with awards, publisher's choices, and inductions into poetry societies. He has also been seeking self-education, for which his studies include history, psychology, philosophy, current events, poetry and classical tales of literature. Symbolism has been a mainstay in all of his writings. This is his third publication.
