Biographie:
Major Ian C Mattison MInst RE was commissioned into the Royal Engineers in 1976, and he completed operation tours of Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Kosovo, Sierra Leone, and Iraq. Posted on several occasions to Minley Station, Ian has been associated with Minley Manor for nearly forty years and assisted in the successful sale of the estate in 2014. He retired as a major, and he is also the founder of a military charity and gives talks on Minley Manor and the origin of the British Army. Ian is married to Linda, and he has two children, Simon and Carla, and one grandson, George.
