Folglich geraten gerade diese Stadttexte und -filme der Romania in den Blick wie etwa die faschistischen Neugr?ndungen in den Pontinischen S?mpfen, Neapel, Mailand und Turin, sowie Marseille, Barcelona und Jerez de la Frontera, als auch die au?ereurop?ische Romania mit Tanger, Montr?al und S?o Paulo. Es sind diverCities und ihr transkulturelles Auftreten geht eng einher mit Fragen nach der Positionierung der Protagonistinnen und Protagonisten zur Stadt sowie deren Zugeh?rigkeit oder, emphatischer, deren Verst?ndnis von Heimat im 20. und 21. Jahrhundert.

This volume explores the urban Imaginary in language, literature and film. In recent decades many of the so called 'secondary' or 'peripheral' metropolises have emerged from the shadow of the capitals, which have been focused on since the modern era in an urban, economic and aesthetic manner. Thus, these urban texts and films of the Romance are highlighted: the fascistic foundations in the Pontine Marshes such as Naples, Milan and Turin; moreover Marseille, Barcelona and Jerez de la Frontera, as well as the non-European Romance cities Tangier, Montreal and S?o Paulo. They represent 'diverCities' and their cross-cultural appearance is closely connected to the issue of positioning the protagonists within the city as well as their affiliation or more emphatic their understanding of 'heimat' or homeland in the 20th and 21th century.
