Biographie: RALPH L. KLIEM is Principal, Practical Creative Solutions, a consulting firm in Redmond, Washington. He has experience as a corporate EDP auditor, EDP trainer, computing methods analyst, program planner, technical writer, and college instructor. He is the author or coauthor of seven other books.
IRWIN S. LUDIN, also a Principal of Practical Creative Solutions, has experience in information systems as a business manager, engineer, production shop analyst, project manager, and a college instructor. He is author or coauthor of three previous books and numerous articles on managerial, computing, and technical communications topics.

JITS developers recognize that all system development projects and their maintenance have commonalities. They can apply technical, operational, and managerial approaches to similar problems--the managemant structure or system components of a project, for example, may be applicable to similar projects and follow similar lifecycles.
