Mental health advocate Rebecca Golden is the author of Controlling Anxiety.Her work operates in the self-help niche and focuses on arming readers with the tools they need to navigate common mental health issues like depression and anxiety.Although Rebecca spent many years working in the medical field, her interest in mental health support was seeded in personal experience. She has seen friends and family members struggle to cope with their mental health, often believing that medication and doctor's appointments were their only options. While she strongly believes that these tools are often an essential part of an effective approach to mental health management, she is passionate about helping more people realize what else they can do to improve and manage their symptoms.Rebecca consistently saw that those navigating mental health issues often don't know how to reach out to others for support or to talk about the issues they're struggling with. This was the catalyst that sparked her determination to provide practical strategies that anyone can use to take control of their mental health and live a peaceful and fulfilling life.Rebecca is married with three children. She loves reading, gardening, and spending time outdoors, all of which she finds crucial to keeping her mental health in top form. Most of all, however, she loves spending time with her family and sharing the tools they will need to do this for themselves as they grow up.
