Lieutenant John Halloway is called to a crime scene on a cold and rainy night in the middle of downtown Vegas. The only clues that he leaves are his calling card, signiture messges. He is like a ghost. The numbers of the victims is adding up, however suddenly there is a new evil in town and things have gone from bad to worse. Unable to find their suspect, having nothing to go on but what he chooses to give them, Halloway and Griffin are finally forced to instill the help, talents and resources of the very person they are themselves trying to find.
