Compared to the rest of the children, Rajashree was very healthy and her wonderful innocent beauty did not match the other children of the family. They wanted to isolate Rajashree completely from their children like her mother from themselves. This behaviour gave them great satisfaction, thinking they had made her feel degraded. A widower and father of three married sons, Sailesh stuns his family when he suddenly marries Rama, a beautiful woman much younger than his sons. His children are confused when they realize that their father has given half of their inheritance to his wife. When Rama gives birth to a daughter named Rajashree, emotions run high as the siblings struggle to understand this new person in their life. When Rajashree turns seventeen, her father dies. Fearing that she had something to do with her father's death, Rajashree succumbs to delirium. In her visions, a man rescues her from certain death. After she heals from her illness, Rajashree thinks she sees the man from her vision on the city streets.
