So it was that each participant of the Experiment found a vision and was soon immersed with high excitement in making it come true. And ironically, Hinder, who was to have been the spoiler, became instead the enabler. Then there occurred an event that was to challenge not only the Experiment group, but the whole nation. The time had come for a man named Abu Kalide Al Mussada to accomplish a vision of a very different sort. Abu Kalide and eight of his followers infiltrated across the border between Mexico and America in the early hours of the sixteenth day of September. At ten o'clock that morning they took possession of a nursery school in Casa de Luna, New Mexico. As Abu Kalide had planned, the headlines and airways screamed the news. The President promised that action would be taken immediately, but it would not be precipitate. Every care would be taken not to move so rapidly it would be heedless. The threat would be met without excessive haste or impulse. The safety of the children would be the foremost consideration. And to each of the eight participants in the Experiment a familiar green sheet appeared in their mail. An emergency meeting was called. The black bus would come for them....
