One friend dies the remaining four decide to memorialize him in a way they will be remembered forever. The decision is made to immortalize the fallen friend in a book. While the other three join the fallen comrade as characters in it. The process brings those still living in touch with their own mortality and desire in this life. It is the self-discovery of themselves and the changing relationship in the remaining friendships. Through the work to honor their fallen comrade they re-discover themselves and thier own lives become richer and more rewarding by living through the experiences brought about by the honoring of their friend. They are confronted with their own mortality, with the hopes and desires of their own lives. The discovery and eventual changing of their lives to enrich and enhance the time remaining leads to relationships and the forever changing of their own lives. Each of them becomes the people they have longed to be. It is a celebration of life, of living and being who you were meant to be. It is a path that leads to happiness for each of them.
