The author knew, managed and published for a variety of positive thinkers that specialized in the Law of Attraction and manifesting one's dreams. She was one of the most important people in the New Thought movement, having been the founder and publisher for Nautilus Magazine, which promoted New Thought ideas for 55 years, from 1898 to 1953.

Elizabeth Towne (1865-1960) was an American writer, publisher, and influential figure within the New Thought movement. Through her publishing house and magazine The Nautilus, she helped bring the ideas of mental science and spiritual self-development to a wide readership in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.Towne was associated with many leading figures of the New Thought tradition and played an important role in popularising the philosophy that thought and belief influence human experience. Her books and articles emphasised self-reliance, positive thinking, and the cultivation of inner power as pathways to personal fulfilment.Among her best-known works are Life Power and How to Use It, Just How to Wake the Solar Plexus, and Happiness and Marriage, writings that reflect the broader philosophical tradition that helped shape modern inspirational and metaphysical literature....
