Parenting, like any good adventure, can be scary, challenging, and fun. But parents aren't meant just to be along for the ride, we are to lead the way. It's a job that requires us to give up time, money, and energy. This book considers that parents teach their children not just with their words, but also with their behaviors and attitudes, how to understand the world that is seen and unseen. Parents are more than rule makers and caretakers, they are soul shapers. Some of the most important work parents do as disciple-makers is to help their children conform to the character of Christ. As parents join with Christ in the work of conforming to his character, they are able to more effectively teach their children to do the same. 10 lessons in this book look at the parables and examine the treasures of wisdom and knowledge within that can apply to character-growth in parenting. Jesus told these parables, or stories, to teach us about who we are, who God is, and the way of God. Within these stories are hidden the secrets of the invisible world and truths to help us to honor Jesus by living like him.

Biographie:
Parent and author Christina Dronen has lead Bible studies for over 20 years. Christina lives in California with her husband and three children. She is the founder and Executive Director of Finally Family Homes, a non-profit helping foster children aging out of the system.
