Présentation Nonlocal Nature Format Broché

Résumé :
Nonlocal Nature: The Eight Circuits of Consciousness is a modern manual for self-realization. Some philosophers have postulated that the human nervous system is composed of a series of neurological circuits - eight of them - which are responsible for determining the broad range of behaviors humans, and potentially other creatures, exhibit. Biological safety, emotion and status, speaking and reasoning, social behaviors, and higher states of mind are all outlined in a coherent fashion in this eight circuit scheme, which is presented in such a way as to be relatable to and understandable by anyone. Coming to see ourselves, not necessarily as we would like to be, but rather as we are, can free us over time from the various degrees of bondage and suffering with which too many of us are afflicted. This book is less about the fast track to enlightenment and more about achieving a higher degree of internal and external freedom through the acknowledgment and experience of our true natures. Anyone interested in taking (and enjoying) the ride is welcome!
Biographie:
James A. Heffernan is relatively new to the writing scene, but his unique perspective on the nature of reality can enlighten and inspire all readers and provide them with the sense that there is much more to human existence than meets the eye. This is an existence that, Heffernan feels, is anything but banal and boring, as his work is designed to show. Heffernan studied physics and anthropology at the University of Utah, focusing especially on the foundations of the new physics on the one hand, and on the psychology of aboriginal hunter-gatherers on the other -- having hardly suspected that he would find meaningful parallels between the two. Along such lines, his first book was published titled: The Reality of Hunter-Gatherers. Heffernan is a very gifted writer and he posses the unique ability to make complex subjects simple. In all his writing, he writes from the soul, and hopes the reader appreciates the connection.
