Poetry. Latino/Latina Studies. PUBLIC DOMAIN is First Rate, worthy of Rerereading and Full-Tilt Gesamkunstwerke Treatment, and, rest assured, will never rest. Which is to say: the interplay of text/orality, theory/playfulness, concrete/lyric appearing in every form imaginable/heretofore unimagined, adds up to the most adventurous Conceptual Mystery Poem I have ever read/performed. I cannot imagine poetry without her--Bob Holman....
Sommaire: M? nica de la Torre is a poet, translator, and scholar was born and raised in Mexico City. She earned a BA from the Instituto Tecnol? gico Aut? nomo de M? xico and, with the support of a Fulbright scholarship, relocated to New York in 1993 to pursue an MFA and a PhD in Spanish literature at Columbia University. De la Torre's honors include a New York Foundation for the Arts fellowship. She has edited BOMB Magazine and The Brooklyn Rail. She lives in Brooklyn and teaches at Brooklyn College. Her books include, Public Domain (Roof), Repetition Nineteen and The Happy End / All Welcome.
