Résumé :
Through timely decisions in research, politics and business, as well as the training of skilled workers, Austria is able to make decisive contribution to shaping the era of Industrie 4.0. Therefore, the 4th Wiener Produktionstechnik Kongress is once again dedicated to the technical challenges of these visionary approaches. Consequently, the holistic theme of the congress and the conference proceedings is entitled as Efficiency, Flexibility, Integration.A variety of high-level national and international representatives of industry and academia discuss current issues and report on the latest results from research and industrial applications. The congress focuses on the following three main topics: Innovative manufacturing technologies, new developments for tool machines and current topics in automation technology as well as the usage of information technology in manufacturing.In addition, the Comet Center Center for Digital Production (CDP), newly founded in August 2017, will be presented at the 4th Wiener Produktionstechnik Kongress.**********Durch rechtzeitige Weichenstellungen in der Forschung, Politik und Wirtschaft sowie der Ausbildung von Fachkr?ften kann ?sterreich weiterhin das Zeitalter der Industrie 4.0 gestalterisch miterschlie?en. Der 4. Wiener Produktionstechnik Kongress widmet sich aus diesem Grund wieder den mit diesen Visionen verbundenen technischen Herausforderungen und stellt den Kongress wie den hier vorliegenden Sammelband unter das Thema Efficiency, Flexibility, Integration.Ein Reihe hochrangiger nationaler und internationaler Vertreter aus Industrie und Forschung diskutieren aktuelle Fragestellungen und berichten ?ber neueste Erkenntnisse aus der Forschung sowie der industriellen Anwendung. Die Kongressschwerpunkte fokussieren sich dabei im Wesentlichen auf die Themenbl?cke: Innovative Fertigungstechnologien, Neuerungen auf dem Gebiet der Werkzeugmaschinen und den aktuellen Themen der Fertigungsautomatisierung sowie des Einsatzes von Informationstechnologien in der Produktionstechnik.Au?erdem wird im Rahmen des 4.
