ANNE YOUNGSON worked for many years in senior management in the car industry before embarking on a creative career as a writer. She has supported many charities in governance roles, including Chair of the Writers in Prison Network, which provided residencies in prisons for writers. She lives in Oxfordshire and is married with two children and three grandchildren to date. MEET ME AT THE MUSEUM, her debut novel, was shortlisted for the Costa Best First Novel Award and is now published around the world

ANNE YOUNGSON's debut novel MEET ME AT THE MUSEUM was shortlisted for the Costa Best First Novel Award and won the inaugural Paul Torday Memorial prize for debut fiction by writers over sixty. Her second novel, THREE WOMEN AND A BOAT was a BBC Radio 2 Book Club pick. A COMPLICATED MATTER is her first historical novel, and was inspired by an episode of 'From the Archives' on BBC Radio Four. She had a successful career in senior management before turning to her long-held wish to write. She lives in Oxfordshire and is married with two children and four grandchildren.
