He is also represented by Yossi Milo Gallery, New York, the Rita Castelotte Gallery, Madrid and RTR Gallery, Paris. A winner of the 'European Publishers Award For Photography' and of a 'World Press Photo Award', he gained international recognition after the publication of his book Sabine which was the result of a three year period spent in a small settlement on the East Coast of Greenland. He lived there with his Greenlandic girlfriend, Sabine, and her family, living the life of a fisherman and hunter but also photographing. In Spring 2006 he moved to Tokyo, staying there 18 months before returning to Copenhagen, where he now lives and works. He is currently working on the project Arrivals and Departures - a journey from Moscow to Beijing - in co-operation with Leica Camera.
