Paul Nash (1889-1946) created an individual pathway through English art in the first half of the 20th century, shaping a body of work that recognised the importance of the modern movement and stimulated him to evolve his own English landscape-based Surrealism. Biographie:
Andrew Causey wrote extensively on 20th-century art and was the author of Paul Nash: Critical Study and Catalogue Raisonn? and books on Edward Burra and Peter Lanyon. He contributed to exhibition catalogues on Stanley Spencer, Andy Goldsworthy and other artists. He selected works for exhibitions in Britain and abroad, including British Art in the Twentieth Century at the Royal Academy in 1987.
