Résumé :
The first book in the Carnivia trilogy, set in modern-day Italy. Carnivia is a virtual Venice - a city within the city - where anyone may conduct another life, outside the rule of law, and where the identities of two dead women lie hidden in plain sight. For fans of Robert Harris, Stieg Larsson and Sam Bourne. 'A genuinely special thriller' Huffington Post
Biographie:
Jonathan Holt read English at Oxford, and is now the creative director of an advertising agency. He has travelled widely in Italy, where he fell in love with its language, food and people. The first novel in the Carnivia Trilogy, THE ABOMINATION, was an international bestseller and was translated into fourteen languages. Jonathan lives in London.
'The characters are strong, Venice is a magnificent backdrop and it has an arresting opening ... impressive' Daily Mail. 'Jonathan Holt blasts on to the thriller scene with a high voltage, all bets are off, cracker' Crimesquad. 'AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME!! ... If you are a fan of Dan Brown this is certainly for you ... to say it's a page turner is an understatement! The only problem now is waiting for the next book in the trilogy!' Sam Lewis for Lovereading.co.uk. '[A] diverting debut ... Holt captures the allure of Venice and its creative cyber-counterpart, and creates two forceful [...] protagonists in Kat and Holly. The author gets carried away by throwing mystery on top of mystery, but, well, that's part of the fun' Publishers Weekly. 'It's rare to find a genuinely thrilling thriller that is also an illuminating portrait of a particular world, with characters as believable as any real-life acquaintance. The Abomination is a terrific book by any standard; as a first novel it is outstanding' Literary Review. 'This cracking upmarket thriller is the first in a trilogy ... a stonking conspiracy ... I loved the way this writer doesn't take his readers for fools; a rare entertainment for the thinking deckchair reader' Saga magazine.
