Biographie:
February 2007 - present Lecturer Civil Engineering Materials: University of Leeds, School of Civil Engineering. Module leader for CIVE2300 (Civil Engineering Materials), delivers lectures on bituminous materials, and cement and concrete. Rresearch interests are in the fields of cement structure and stability, alternative cements, low energy alternatives to cement, and bitumen ageing. March 2004- January 2007 Research Fellow: Materials and Engineering Research Institute, Sheffield Hallam University, Sheffield, England. Feb 2001 - Feb 2004 Post-Doctoral Researcher (Nachwuchswissentschaftler): Institute for Technical Chemistry Department of Water & Geotechnology, Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe GmbH, Karlsruhe, Germany Feb 1999 - Jan 2001 EU Training and Research Fellowship: Commission of the European Communities, Joint Research Centre, Institute for Transuranium Elements, Karlsruhe, Germany. Nov 1997 - Oct 1998 Post-Doctoral Researcher: University of Bristol Interface Analysis Centre, Bristol, England. Dr. Black has written in over 20 peer reviewed publications and 20 conference proceedings. This is Dr. Black's first book.
