Among the 41 breeds included in Jack Byard's selection are long-haired, short-haired and curly-coated cats; cats with a vast array of colours, patterns and personalities, and cats with long, short and hazy histories. Each photo is accompanied by an emphatic description covering the history, appearance and personality of the breed.

Biographie:
Jack Byard lives in Bradford with his wife Elaine. Now retired, Jack spent his working life as a Rolls-Royce workshop technician and jewellery craftsman. Having always had a love of animals, Jack seized retirement as his opportunity to write about them, beginning in 2008 with Know Your Sheep.
