Jane Galer holds a BA in philosophy, an MA in material culture, and an Advance Certificate in museum curation for archaeologists. She trained as a shaman in the lineage of the Q'ero of Peru. She is an award winning poet, and author. Her work includes Outskirts: Collected Poems, Spirit Dogs: How to be your dog's personal shaman, and The Navigator's Wife, a novel. Jane lives with her family in northern California.
