Biographie:
Caron Pescatore was born in the United Kingdom and most of her childhood in Jamaica before migrating to the United States. After practicing as a registered nurse for many years, she decided to study law, obtaining her J.D. in 2001. She worked as an attorney for several years before leaving the profession to become a stay-at-home mom-her most challenging career to date.

Ms. Pescatore is passionate about justice and fairness for all, a sentiment that led, in part, to her decision to write the Luanna and The Kids' Court series. Her favorite pastimes are reading, writing, and watching true-crime shows. She also recently discovered a love of painting using stencils. At present, Ms. Pescatore lives in Massachusetts with her husband and family. Caron Pescatore was born in London, England. At the age of five, her family moved to Jamaica, where she spent her childhood. At seventeen, she migrated to the United States, where she pursued a career as a registered nurse, ironically the only profession on her never-to-do list!

After practicing nursing for several years, Caron returned to school and studied law, obtaining her J.D. degree in 2001. She practiced law for many years, working as a public defender and a deputy district attorney in Los Angeles County, CA. With the birth of her first child, she left the profession to become a stay-at-home mom, which has been her most challenging career to date.

It was Caron's passion for the law, her desire to share her professional life with her children, and her love of reading stories to them that motivated Caron to write the Kids' Court series. She discovered there were no children's books that taught kids about the legal system in a manner to which they could relate. Thus came the idea for a book about a group of children starting a court and resolving problems between kids in their neighborhood--one story led to another, and then another, and another.

Kids' Court is an innovative middle-grade courtroom-drama mystery series. Each story includes a mystery solved during a court trial by presenting witness testimony and other evidence. Children are entertained by an engaging story, learn about the different careers in the legal field, and get an inside look at how courts work.

Caron's absolute favorite pastime is reading. She enjoys various genres, but her first love is a historical romance, especially during medieval and regency periods. She loves watching true-crime shows, solving mysteries and puzzles, creating personalized plaques, and adult coloring.

Caron has lived in three countries and three states. Presently, she resides in Florida with her husband and two children.
