Résumé :
Der ehemalige Hochbunker am Hauptbahnhof Recklinghausen, im Zweiten Weltkrieg zum Schutz der Bahnreisenden errichtet, wurde schon bald danach aufgesprengt, entkernt und 1950 mit der spektakul?ren Schau Deutsche und franz?sische Kunst der Gegenwart - eine Begegnung als Kunsthalle eingeweiht. Im Rahmen der Ruhrfestspiele der 1990er-Jahre widmete sich der Bunker bedeutenden K?nstlern wie Jannis Kounellis, Henry Moore und Konrad Klapheck und wandelte sich endg?ltig zum Kunsttempel. Ferdinand Ullrich, fast 30 Jahre lang Direktor der Kunsthalle, war mit seinem Objektiv immer dabei und fotografierte unerm?dlich f?r die eigenen Dokumentationen und Kataloge. Dabei faszinierte ihn vor allem das au?ergew?hnliche Bauwerk. Zu seinem Abschied aus dem Museum legt er einen Fotoband vor, der die wichtigsten Ansichten und Ver?nderungen anhand von zahlreichen gro?formatigen Abbildungen dokumentiert. In 1950, the former bunker near the Recklinghausen railway station was gutted and transformed into a temple of art. Ferdinand Ullrich, long-standing director of the Kunsthalle, was always present with his camera and untiringly shot photographs for catalogues and his own documentation. To mark his retirement, he has produced a photobook with numerous large-format illustrations that document the most important views and mutations of this extraordinary building.
