Présentation Practising With Deleuze de Andrea Eckersley Format Broché
- Livre Philosophie
Résumé :
'The artists and philosophers assembled here deliver profound meditations on the largely unexamined topic of Deleuze and practice, touching on the philosophy of practice, the practice of philosophy, and various Deleuzian practices in painting, sculpture, curating, dance, interior design and architecture. Fresh, engaging and provocative from start to finish.' Ronald Lynn Bogue, University of Georgia Five contemporary creative practitioners and a philosopher engage with the writings of Gilles Deleuze through the lens of creative practice This book offers the first systematic reading of Gilles Deleuze's mature philosophy from the perspective of contemporary creative practitioners. It presents a dialogue between a range of practitioners including fine artists, a dancer, a creative writer, a designer and a philosopher, and reflects the engagement of contemporary creative practices with the generative philosophy of Deleuze. It is focused around key aspects of production - forming, framing, experiencing, encountering and practising - allowing you to engage with all these aspects through multiple dialogues. Key Features . The book is orientated by the interests of creative practitioners while maintaining a rigorous relationship to Deleuze's texts including Difference and Repetition and A Thousand Plateaus . For philosophers it demonstrates a creative approach to engaging with arts practitioners conceptually . Includes an Introduction by Gregory Flaxman Suzie Attiwill is Associate Professor of Interior Design at RMIT University, Melbourne.
