Biographie:
My spouse is Thai; I'm a poor student of the language. The Sky After Rain was workshopped in a writing group, The Bard Society, that I have been attended for about 8 years. The workshop is led by a Sewanee graduate (who worked on the journal) and later served as a secretary to Katherine Ann Porter. His insights into storytelling and craft were invaluable, along with other feedback from the group. I'd once thought I'd be an English major, but was a terrible student, so I dropped out. I took up reading grammars on my own. Reading, of course, I'd done all my life.
