Résumé :
This volume contains the proceedings of two conferences, Borate8 and Phosphate1. Or, to name them in full, the Eighth International Conference on Borate Glasses, Crystals and Melts: Borate8 and The International Conference on Phosphate Glasses: Phosphate1. There are 36 papers in total, with 18 from the Borate8 conference and 18 from the Phosphate1 conference. The papers have previously been published individually in the journal Physics and Chemistry of Glasses: European Journal of Glass Science and Technology Part B, for which a full peer review process was used. Each paper was published in the journal as soon as it had had been reviewed and edited, and this volume represents the first time that the papers from the conferences have been published together. The Eighth International Conference on Borate Glasses, Crystals and Melts: Borate8 and The International Conference on Phosphate Glasses: Phosphate1 were held during the period 30th June - 4th July, 2014 at The University of Pardubice, in Pardubice, The Czech Republic.
