Biographie: Hap Wilson is the author of 17 nature-related books, an artist, photographer and wilderness guide. He is the co-founder of the environmental group Earthroots, and is the recipient of the Bill Mason Award for Lifetime Achievement in River Conservation. His book Voyages - Canada's Heritage Rivers, won the Natural Resources Council of America Award for Best Environment Book, and has written for many national magazines. He is an International Fellow of the prestigious Explorer's Club and the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. Wilson has travelled over 60,000 km by canoe and snowshoe, has been an Ontario park ranger, a New Zealand park warden and a wilderness skills teacher for Outward Bound. On the lighter side, Wilson taught actor Pearce Brosnan how to paddle a canoe and throw an axe for the Attenborough movie ' Grey Owl' . He currently owns and operates Cabin Falls Ecolodge with his wife Andrea in Temagami's wilderness park. Find him at hapwilson.com
