to explore the role of Stylistics to interpret Literature scientifically. Being the linguistic approach to literature, the study centralizes the contribution enhanced by Formalism that regards the literary language as the sum total of all stylistic devices (sound, imagery, rhythm, syntax) that are interrelated to 'deform' ordinary language giving an 'estranging' or 'defamiliarizing' effect. Moreover, the study seeks to demonstrate a primary distinction between two basic components of narrative: narrative plot and narrative discourse.The current study is devoted to the interface of language and literary studies.
