After writing 365: Positive Words for a Teenage Girl, based on the warm fuzzies I received in my first year in high-school, women in their twenties and thirties told me, I need a book like this. So I drew upon a little diary I started when I was sixteen, adding many affirmations as the years went by. Every morning and night, I would read a page or two, sometimes ten or more. In the moments (days-weeks-months) that I did not read my diary of affirmations, I felt not quite as light, happy or confident. As soon as I returned to reading these pages, I felt stronger, happier, with the will to follow my dreams. Reading these pages morning and night, begins and ends my day in a positive frame of mind, helping me to stay strong, determined, focused on the good in me and around me. In my eyes every woman is beautiful, just like every girl is and as we grow into our own uniqueness, it's our inner self worth that gives us sustaining happiness. That's what keeps us strong, motivated and good to others. Being Beautifully Strong is the inner beauty & strength that gets us what we want. It's so important to take care of ourselves first (and I'm not talking of ignoring the needs of others, like your children), but if we don't take care of ourselves, then how are we suppose to give to others, if we ourselves are empty? Some call that being a selfish bitch. If so, I'll take it. I am worth the time and effort. I am worth taking care of me. So I call me a beautiful bitch, for when I feel good and can honestly smile at the world… the world generally smiles back. From my heart to yours - A piece of my inner strength xx BBB

Biographie:
Rebecca Dorothy Valastro, wrote the novel ANGE: The Life of a Street Kid, which is the prequel to the movie 7DAYS, along with 365: Positive Words for a Teenage Girl and the women's edition Being Beautifully Strong: into your twenties and beyond. The books 365 and Being Beautifully Strong were designed to build self-worth in women and teenage girls. The hope is, these books help prevent teenage girls from being the bully, being influenced by the bully, falling into abusive relationships, dependency on drugs and alcohol, to help reduce eating disorders, depression and suicide. Women of all ages can also fall into (what can be) the same devastating and tragic circumstances. By releasing the women's version, it is the same hope that both books will inspire a belief and a knowing, that you are amazing just as you are.
