Kristina A. Holzweiss was selected by School Library Journal as the School Librarian of the Year in 2015. She is the founder of SLIME--Students of Long Island Maker Expo--and the president of Long Island LEADS, a nonprofit organization to promote STEAM education and the maker movement.
