Présentation Christians Get Depressed Too de David Murray Format Broché
- Livre Sciences de la vie et de la terre
Résumé : Many Christians mistakenly believe that true Christians don't get depressed, and this misconception heaps additional pain and guilt onto Christians who are suffering from mental and emotional distress. Author David P. Murray comes to the defense of depressed Christians, asserting that Christians do get depressed! He explains why and how Christians should study depression, what depression is, and the approaches caregivers, pastors, and churches can take to help those who are suffering from it. With clarity and wise biblical insight, Dr. Murray offers help and hope to those suffering from depression, the family members and friends who care for them, and pastors ministering to these wounded members of their flock.
Biographie: David Murray (D.Min., Ph.D.) is the pastor of First Christian Reformed Church of Byron Center in Byron Center, Michigan. Formerly, he served as the Professor of Old Testament and Practical Theology at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary. He has pastored three previous churches in the UK and the USA over the past two- and one-half decades. His Ph.D. on Matthew Henry's apologetics was awarded by the Free University of Amsterdam. He is the author of a number of books, including Christians Get Depressed Too, Jesus on Every Page, Reset, and Exploring the Bible, and he blogs regularly at Head Heart Hand blog and Christian Man Academy. David is married to Shona and they have five children.
