Résumé :
The poets anthologized here - from North Africa, Sub Saharan Africa and the Arab World - have long wished to escape from artificial pigeon-holing and rather to be associated with common threads. The past half-century has confirmed their work as poetry of great literary quality, full of a unique vitality and presence.

Biographie:
Patrick Williamson is an English poet who was born in Madrid in 1960 and lives near Paris. His most recent poetry collection is Three Rivers / Trois Rivieres (Editions Harmattan, Paris, 2010). He has translated, among others, selected poems of Tunisian poet Tahar Bekri and Quebecois poet Gilles Cyr, and edited Quarante et un poetes de la Grande-Bretagne (2003). In 1995 and 2003, he was an invited poet at the Festival International de Poesie at Trois-Rivieres in Quebec.
