Str?mmen is a researcher and a professor of structural mechanics for nearly forty years at Norwegian University of Science and Technology, with the specialty of structural aerodynamics and wind engineering. He is presently the professor emeritus at the same university. He published numerous articles and three textbooks, all at Springer Verlag: Theory of bridge aerodynamics first published in 2005 and with a second edition in 2010, Structural dynamics in 2012, and Structural mechanics in 2019....
