Résumé :
Whimsical tales with a soulful heartbeat . . . The Nature's Voice series invites readers young and old into a playful yet meaningful world where nature speaks, feelings matter, and everything is connected. Told with gentle poetry, each story gives voice to the Earth and its animals, sharing the quiet wisdom of the natural world through curious, imaginative characters. Written for children ages five and up, these stories explore compassion, love and loss, and respect for all living things-blending humour and wonder in a heartfelt celebration of our bond with nature. Step into a world where every dandelion has something to say, every creature has a tale to tell, and every child has the power to listen-and make a positive difference. Designed to be enjoyed across generations, these stories invite parents, grandparents, and children to share moments of wonder, connection, and lasting memories together. Each story also includes engaging activities, helpful tips, and thoughtful notes to inspire creativity, conversation, and learning beyond the page....
Biographie:
Toula Michalakis is the author of Once Upon A Leaf: Gentle Stories for Little Hearts - Nature's Voice Series and A Whimsical Adventure: A Collection of Short, Poem-Like Stories for Children. She is a fiction writer and visual artist based in Montreal, Quebec. With a Fine Arts degree and a lifelong passion for creativity, Michalakis nurtures imagination, encourages language development, and helps children build a lasting love for reading. Through engaging stories and playful language, young readers are inspired to imagine, explore, express themselves-and opening their minds and hearts to the wonders of our Mother Earth.Drawing on vivid, joyful memories of being swept away by books as a child, she hopes her stories create that same sense of wonder and connection for today's readers-planting the seeds for confident, curious, and compassionate children. When not writing, Michalakis teaches drawing to children ages five and up, helping young artists develop both skills and confidence. She is also involved in environmental projects that engage young children in collaboration with various schools. She has also collaborated on children's television projects, contributing imaginative stories for young audiences.Storytelling has always been at the heart of her work. She believes in its power to connect generations, spark imagination, and inspire listening, learning, and growth in both children and adults....
