Biographie:
Gary Zelinski began writing after his father passed away due to complications from dementia, thankfully it's not hereditary. But Gary didn't want his and his wife Lillian's story to go unrecorded.

Together Gary and Lillian have chronicled their journeys both on their sailboat and, most recently, in an RV. In 2025, Gary completed his book A Walk Among Heroes, which is about some of the heroes buried at Arlington Cemetery.

His memoir is meant as a personal narrative to his two children, Jennifer and Jason. Gary and Lillian live in Southern California just north of Los Angeles. If you were to ask Gary why he writes, he'd simply say, Because I can't paint....
