    • Résumé :
A journey into otherness. A book, an adventure, a commitment. A space where photography and storytelling intertwine. I never wanted to photograph suffering. I wanted to photograph dignity. Faces, gestures, silences. I discovered something essential : even in the harshest realities, there is strength, beauty, and resilience. ONE WORLD is an invitation to look differently-at others, and at ourselves. Armelle Martignoni Caumont Caimi This book offers a deeply human journey through portraits captured across Asia, Africa, and beyond. Through his lens, the photographer reveals individuals of different cultures and backgrounds, united by dignity, resilience, and quiet strength in the face of adversity. Rather than turning away from hardship, Armelle Martignoni Caumont Caimi uncovers moments of light within it, highlighting the beauty of a glance, a gesture, or a fleeting smile. Each image becomes both a tribute and a mirror, reflecting universal values such as courage, hope, and love. More than a collection of photographs, this work is an invitation to reconnect with what truly matters. It reminds the reader that happiness can be an act of resistance and that true richness often lies in the simplest human connections. By giving presence to those rarely seen or heard, the author creates a powerful, emotional resonance. Through these faces and stories, she celebrates a shared humanity that transcends borders and differences, leaving a lasting impression long after the final page.

      Biographie:
Nothing predestined Armelle Martignoni Caumont Caimi to photography, except an insatiable curiosity and a deep love of distant travel. Perhaps it was the sense of being hemmed in by the mountain peaks of her native Switzerland that awakened her desire to look beyond. For decades she has practiced photography in a spontaneous, intuitive way, seeking fleeting moments of life and, as a portraitist, the gazes returned from the other side of her lens. Armelle's engagement with philanthropy began at the cusp of adulthood, when her father received his first liver transplant. As her family journeyed through illness and the uncertainty of survival, they cultivated a sense of marvel for the pure generosity of strangers and the invisible forces of hope and resilience that unite us all. Understanding early on that philanthropy is not limited to financial contributions, Armelle has taken her camera across the world to shine light on the unseen, whether during international residencies or on solitary, offbeat paths. Compelled to capture moments of essential truth in the gazes of her subjects, whose eyes meet ours to draw us into their presence, Armelle strives to give space to those too often ignored and raise awareness that we are all part of one world.
