The manhunt for Bucky became one of the most extensive in New York State history. While on the lam, Bucky shot three state troopers, one of whom died from his injuries. Bucky became something of an unlikely folk hero with one restaurant featuring a Bucky Burger on the menu for those On the Run. T-shirts were marketed saying, Run, Bucky, Run! Biographie:
Ray Hall, a graduate of Jamestown Community College, was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force who went on to run several businesses throughout his lifetime. He had been employed by the former Jamestown Telephone Company and was past president of the telephone workers union. Ray had worked for the Norvell Reed Farm, where he bought, sold, and auctioned cattle. He was the Clerk of the Chautauqua County Legislature 1980-1983. During his retirement years, he hosted a talk radio show on WJTN called The Hall Closet and wrote a blog for the Post Journal. Ray had a lifelong passion for politics and served as Chairman of the Jamestown Democratic Party for several years. Ray completed writing Killer on the Run prior to his passing on December 20, 2011....
