      Wind in Trees - Upheaval is the second book in the Wind In Trees Trilogy featuring Earth in several centuries in the future. Very few humans remain. The day after his wife died, Henry Wind-In-Trees had ended his life with a leap off a cliff. He wakes up 100 years later to find he is one of the more popular exhibits at the Atlanta Museum of Natural History currently run by the Batrans, a reptilian race, who settled the Earth with the aid of a mysterious entity known only as the Soofysh, who killed off most of humanity in a deal with the Batrans. He learns that the Soofysh have come to collect valuable resources mined by the Batrans and human slaves. Henry embarks on a quest to do away with the seemingly invincible Soofysh with the aid of a tribe of Native Americans, a pair of robot companions and the fortuitous discovery of ancient atomic technology....

      Biographie:
      As a scientist, Dr. Arthur M. Doweyko has authored 140+ scientific publications and patents, invented novel 3D drug design software, and shares the 2008 Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award for the discovery of Sprycel, a new anti-cancer drug. He has had a life-long interest in art as well as science, notably writing and painting and illustration.His favorite writing genres are science fiction and fantasy with a particular fascination for Serling's Twilight Zone episodes, as reflected in his short stories. He is the author of several award-winning works: Novels Algorithm and As Wings Unfurl and numerous short stories, many of which appear in his anthologies My Shorts and Captain Arnold, which garnered the 2021 Royal Palm Literary Best Published Book Award (2nd Runner up). Besides fiction, Arthur also writes non-fiction, and his essay, Five Reasons to Wonder, took 2nd Place in the 2019 Writers Digest Competition. The current novel, Wind In Trees - Invasion won first place in the 2023 Joshua Tree Novel Contest. Arthur was also honored by winning the 2022 L. Ron Hubbard Illustrators of the Future Contest, a highly competitive international contest culminating in a Hollywood extravaganza attended by some of the best illustrators in the country. His illustrations have graced the covers of more than 20 published books in various genres....

      Wind in Trees - Upheaval is the second book in the Wind In Trees Trilogy featuring Earth in several centuries in the future. Very few humans remain. The few that are living are slaves to the ruling Batrans who are in a permanent state of debt to the Soofysh, an all-powerful entity that doesn't seem to exist in an organic state. More than a century ago, the reptilian Batrans colonized Earth which following its sterilization of nearly all human life by an entity known as the Soofysh. In return, the Soofysh demanded payment in the way of the planet's resources. In recent years the Soofysh were vanquished by the reptilians with the help of one of the surviving humans, blue-skinned Henry Wind In Trees, a Lakota Sioux who was forcibly converted by the Soofysh to a human-looking, age-defying cyborg as one of their experiments. Over the years, Batrans and humans found a way to work together, inhabiting separate parts of the Americas suited best to their biologizes. Cold-blooded Batrans preferred the warmer, equatorial climes, while humans favored the more temperate zones. Batrans settled on the North American and European continents, however, the lack of communication with the European colonies prompted a group of North American Batrans to strike out in search of answers....
