Timothy Gray is professor of English at College of Staten Island, City University of New York. He is the author of Gary Snyder and the Pacific Rim: Creating Countercultural Community (Iowa, 2006), Urban Pastoral: Natural Currents in the New York School (Iowa, 2010), and It's Just the Normal Noises: Marcus, Guralnick, No Depression, and the Mystery of Americana Music (Iowa, 2017).
