PANDORA'S BOX - STOON

Parodie librement inspirée des personnages Sherlock Holmes et docteur Watson.

Dans la mythologie grecque, ZEUS, pour se venger de Prométhée, ordonna à Vulcain de créer une femme séductrice et fourbe qu'il appela PANDORE. Le jour de son mariage avec le frère de Prométhée, on remit à PANDORE une jarre contenant tous les maux de l'humanité, qu'on lui interdit d'ouvrir, mais elle ne respecta pas cette condition et le malheur s'abattit sur les hommes. C'est à partir de ce mythe qu'est née l'expression : BOITE DE PANDORE !

In Greek mythology, ZEUS, seeking revenge on Prometheus, ordered Vulcan to create a seductive and deceitful woman whom he named PANDORA. On the day of her wedding to Prometheus' brother, PANDORA was given a jar containing all the evils of humanity, with strict instructions not to open it. However, she did not obey this condition, and misfortune befell mankind. It is from this myth that the expression Pandora's Box was born!
