Résumé : Summoned to a family friend's New Jersey estate, criminologist Christopher Page and his man-Friday Ralph Clark intend to track down a missing servant but are quickly embroiled in a murder mystery. The dead man has a dagger in his chest, and events rapidly develop into an action-packed, yet puzzling mystery. Page uses not only his brain, but his hands, as his sculpting skills 'raise the dead' from a discovered skull to identify a skeleton. Mr. Page takes the most complicated plot that has come to the attention of this reviewer in many months and weaves it into a logical and interesting, but baffling story of mystery and adventure. His style leaves little to be desired in a book of this type, his characters are vividly and realistically portrayed and his most bizarre situations are handled so artistically that the imagination of the reader is not overtaxed.
