This review throws knowledge on the basic aspects of insect pheromone technology, especially in case of control of helicoverpa armigera.the review includes the pheromone components of helicoverpa armigera, their composition, comparison of traditional control methods and pheromone technology. helicoverpa being a polyphagus insect of various crops is very noxious one as it has developed resistance to various insecticides and even to biological cotrol. These findings basically support the pheromone technology to popularize among farmers in India and abroad....

Dr. Kalpna Varshney ist derzeit als Assistenzprofessorin an der Manav Rachna International University, Indien, t?tig.
