In the last decade, there has been increasing interest and research in sagittal balance and standing posture.The sagittal profile of the spine has been widely investigated in numerous studies, primarily in normal population then extending to patients with spinal ailments like listhesis, degenerative conditions, deformity. Spinal balance is conceived as the result of an optimal lordotic positioning of the vertebrae above a correctly oriented pelvis. A number of radiological measurements that describe the relationship between spine and pelvis have been used such as pelvic incidence (PI), pelvic tilt (PT), sacral slope (SS), lumbar lordosis (LL), etc. This books deals with basic understanding of development, bio-mechanics of spinopelvic parameters and how to obtained a correct radiograph inorder to study them. It focuses on details of different important parameters of spine and pelvis and its relations and their role in understanding the various pathology of spine, prognostically dealing with the pathology and deciding the management whether in terms of conservative or surgical, and if surgical it help in planning a better spinal fusion techniques....
