Jimmy Cornell has sailed 200,000 miles in all oceans of the world, including three circumnavigations as well as voyages to Antarctica and the Northwest Passage. Thousands of sailors have fulfilled their dreams of offshore cruising not only with the help of Jimmy's books but also as participants in one of his transatlantic or round-the-world rallies. Ivan Cornell spent most of his childhood at sea and completed his first circumnavigation by the time he was 11. As an adult he has sailed thousands of miles as crew or skipper, including two voyages to Antarctica. He has a degree in computer science and has worked for the last 30 years in the film industry. Ivan applied his skills as a programmer to produce the comprehensive range of pilot charts in Cornells' Ocean Atlas, some of which have been reproduced in this book.
