Diagnostic imaging is the practice of creating visual representations of the interior of a body. It is done for assessing organ and tissue function and for designing medical interventions for the treatment of abnormalities and disorders. Some of the common imaging procedures include radiography, medical ultrasonography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and X-ray computed tomography (CT).
