Résumé : For widowed DCI Joe Mottram, a summer on the island of Capri was meant to be an opportunity to reconnect with his teenage daughter Angelica. What better place to bond than in his late wife Francesca's childhood home, the renowned beachside restaurant, Di Vinale's, run by her parents.
But when the body of a British tourist is found at the bottom of an iconic landmark, Joe is tasked with helping local detective Lara investigate and his plans for the holiday are shattered. As he learns more about the events surrounding the death, Joe begins to suspect that the island is not as idyllic as it seems. Darkness and corruption lurk beneath its surface.
And when a second body is discovered, he realises he and his family might be in real danger...
Biographie: Matt is a television screenwriter best known for creating the ITV series Hotel Portofino. He co-wrote and adapted the series Professor T, Suspect, and Before We Die, and is the lead writer on Channel 4 series Patience, which aired in January 2025 and attracted 3 million viewers on its first episode.
Matt studied English Literature and Drama at Goldsmith's College, University of London, and went on to a career in journalism and corporate communications, specialising in media and entertainment. He devoted himself to writing full-time during the COVID-19 pandemic and hasn't looked back. A Taste For Murder is his first novel.
