In an alternate timeline to our own, two strangers, Amihan and Lucio, seek an escape from the meaningless day-to-day existence of their lives. At first, they find a commonality through their twilight meetings on a rooftop in New York. Eventually their lives grow closer, and they become lovers. As their love deepens, it becomes something more than the intensely growing bond between them. The result is the opening of a parallel dimension, where love is the primary source of its origin. The creates an astounding change that eventually affects human civilization at its deepest roots. The scope of the novel is a setting in an alternate universe, similar to our own, covering a general time periods between the 1980s and early 2000s. The story takes place primarily in New York, U.S.A., and Paris, France, with additional locations mentioned. The major characters include: Amihan Santiago - 28, emotionally guarded, works as a freelance illustrator and fine artist. Grew up in a broken family. Disillusioned by modern dating and city life. Quietly passionate, yearning for real connection but afraid of depending on others. Has a history of high-functioning anxiety. Amihan is of Filipino and French ancestry. Lucio Chen - 31, former musician turned architect, and later a writer. Lost his brother to suicide five years ago. He's gentle but carries grief and survivor's guilt. Strong belief in small acts of hope. Intuitive, empathetic, romantic but cautious. Wrote music once but stopped after the tragedy. Amihan is of Chinese Filipino ancestry....

Jon M. Fox is a writer of experimental fiction, non-fiction and poetry. He has made his home in the Philippines since 2017. A former educator, his writing has appeared in such diverse publications as An Indigenous Message on Water, Dialogo, Night to Dawn Magazine, and Poets But Us: Wordsmiths' Journal and Magazine. Jon's fictional writing and poetry frequently focuses on the genre of magical realism, largely stemming from his Yaqui Native American indigenous heritage and life experiences. When he isn't reading or writing, he's busy with various projects in Nueva Ecija Province in the Philippines, where he is sharing time with his wife and family....
